T-shirt Sales
Breakfast/Coffee (for competitors and volunteers only)
Check-In for Creek Race
Safety Boaters
Roadside safety equipped with throw bags and radios
Judges (start and finish)
Check-In for Downriver race
Fish Creek Call Box patrol
Awards Ceremony
Recycle crew
Clean-up crew

Updated schedule of events

Come on over to one of the most amazing rivers in North America and check out this whitewater kayaking and SUP event. This is a Whitewater Festival on the Class III-IV Lochsa River in Idaho. “LoSe iT oN tHe LoChSa” event schedule includes the following activities:

9 am Morning Yoga at the Pavilion.

10:15 am Registration for all those competing in the creek race and the downriver kayak race. The participant will make a $10 donation to cover their insurance for the event. 

12 pm all registered participants for the Creek Race will meet at Fish Creek put-in on the Lochsa. Participants will start at the footbridge (that crosses the creek) run with their boats up the road to the put-in and paddle back down to the footbridge. The race will start at 12:30 pm. 

1 pm all registered participants for the downriver race (short and long boat categories) will meet at Fish Creek put-in on the Lochsa. The downriver race will start at Fish Creek put-in on the Lochsa and end at Split Creek Bridge. The race will start at 2 pm.

The Stand-Up Paddleboard Surf and Rally will be at Pipeline rapid from 10 am-4 pm.

8 pm the awards ceremony will be held at the Pavilion.

The Band Tidal Horn will perform after the awards ceremony location TBA.

The festival is based out of Wilderness Gateway Campground in Idaho. Grab your camping gear, drive over Lolo Pass exactly 94.6 miles from Missoula to Wilderness Gateway Campground (US 12 Mile marker 122) on the Lochsa River in Idaho. The group pavilion at Wilderness Gateway Campground has been reserved for all events other than the actual competition, band performance, after party and camping. Walk ups in Loop B-C-D are available and recommended for all overnight camping in Wilderness Gateway.
